Savaria Multilift: the porch and deck lift

For a rise of 4 to 6 feet, the Multilift is the simplest vertical lift there is: a self-supporting tower on a concrete pad, a screw drive that needs no hydraulics, and a platform that carries 750 lb. Outdoor rated as it comes. Open for a porch, enclosed for weather, or on wheels for a temporary event.

What stands out

  • Self-supporting

The tower stands on its pad; it does not need to be fastened to the house. That makes it the easiest lift to add to an existing porch.

  • Outdoor rated as standard

No outdoor package to buy. Weather-resistant finish and lock come on every unit.

  • Screw drive

Mechanical and simple. An ACME screw with a back-up nut; no hydraulic fluid, no pump.

  • Automatic fold-up ramp

On the open lift the bottom ramp rises as the platform lifts, acting as a guard. No pit needed.

  • Enclosed option

Aluminum-framed enclosure with acrylic or glass panels, including a 72 inch enclosed model for commercial code.

  • Mobile version

Two manual gates, an automatic ramp, and wheels. For stages, events, and temporary access.

Planning a Multilift

We measure the rise from the ground to the porch or deck floor, confirm where the top landing gate will mount, and give you a pad drawing: level concrete, sized for the tower and platform. An electrician runs a 120V 20A circuit. Installation takes most of a day. For commercial buildings, a top landing door or gate by Savaria is required, a $0 enclosure-included commercial package applies on enclosed units, and the state permit comes first; we handle it. Taller rises are the V-1504's territory.

Questions we hear every week

How high can the Multilift go?

48 inches standard, 72 inches optional. Any pit depth counts toward that total. Above 6 feet, the V-1504 is the right lift.

Does it need to attach to the house?

No. The tower is self-supporting on a concrete pad rated for its weight. The top landing gate mounts to the porch.

Can it be used in winter?

Yes. It is outdoor rated. Keep the platform clear of snow and ice as you would steps.

Is there a temporary option?

The Multilift Mobile is a wheeled unit with its own gates and ramp for events or short-term needs. Ask about availability.
