Financing that fits the budget, not the other way around
Many of the families we help would rather spread the cost over time than write one check. Through our financing partner Hearth you can see personalized monthly options in about two minutes, with no impact on your credit score and no home equity required. Stairlift payments start as low as $59 a month for qualified buyers.
How it works
Check your options in two minutes
A short, secure application shows personalized rates from more than a dozen lenders. It is a soft credit check, so there is no effect on your score.
Fixed rate, fixed payment
You know the payment on day one and it does not change. No prepayment penalty if you pay it off early.
Funds in 1 to 5 business days
Once you choose a loan, funding is quick, so installation can be scheduled right away.
Up to $250,000
Enough for a stairlift, a platform lift, or a full home elevator project including construction.
Other ways to lower the cost
- Pennsylvania sales tax exemption. With a doctor's note, many stairlift purchases are exempt from PA sales tax. We handle the form.
- Certified pre-owned stairlifts. $1,600 to $4,500 installed, with a service warranty. See new and used stairlifts.
- Rental. For a recovery or a temporary need, a stairlift rental avoids a purchase entirely.
- Cash and bank-transfer pricing. Paying by check, cash, or bank transfer earns a discount on stairlift quotes compared with paying by card.
- Veterans and agency programs. VA grants and local aging agencies sometimes fund home access equipment. Ask us; we will tell you what we have seen work.

Questions we hear every week
What does financing cost per month?
Payments on a straight stairlift start as low as $59 a month for qualified buyers. Larger projects such as elevators are financed the same way with longer terms. You see your own rate and payment options before anything is final.
Does checking my options affect my credit?
No. Seeing your personalized options through Hearth is a soft inquiry and takes about two minutes. A hard inquiry happens only if you choose a loan and proceed.
Do I need home equity?
No. These are unsecured personal loans. Your home is not collateral.
Can I pay it off early?
Yes. All loans through Hearth have fixed rates, fixed payments, and no prepayment penalties.
Can I buy a stairlift sales-tax free in Pennsylvania?
Often, yes. Pennsylvania exempts certain mobility equipment from sales tax when prescribed by a doctor. We walk you through the exemption at the consultation. It can save several hundred dollars.
Are there grants or other help?
Sometimes. Veterans may qualify for VA grants. Pennsylvania and Maryland have waiver programs and area agencies on aging that occasionally fund home modifications. Our blog covers the programs we see most, and we are glad to point you in the right direction.
