How much does a stairlift cost?
A new straight stairlift installed usually runs between $2,900 and $8,000 depending on the length of the staircase, the model, and options like a powered swivel seat or folding rail. Certified pre-owned stairlifts range from about $1,600 to $4,500. Curved stairlifts start around $10,000 because the rail is built for your staircase.
We put the price in writing after a free in-home visit, so the number you see is the number you pay.
How long does installation take?
Most straight stairlifts are installed in two to three hours, and you can ride it the same day. Curved stairlifts take a little longer because of the custom rail. Platform lifts are usually one day. Home elevators depend on the type: a shaftless Pollock elevator can be done in a few days, while a traditional elevator is a longer construction project we manage from start to finish.
Do you install, or do you use subcontractors?
Our own employees install and service everything we sell. The person who measures your stairs, the person who installs the lift, and the person who answers the phone when you call later all work for Keystone Accessibility.
Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying?
Yes. Straight stairlift rentals are $1,295 to start, which covers installation, removal, and the first three months, then $150 a month for as long as you need it. It is a good fit for recovery after surgery or a short-term stay with family.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available for qualified buyers with payments starting as low as $59 a month. Pennsylvania residents may also qualify to buy a stairlift sales-tax free with a doctor's note. We walk you through both during the consultation.
