Fully mechanical. As the chair rides up, the bottom rail section lifts itself out of the doorway. No motor, no sensor, nothing to fail. If a doorway at the bottom of the stairs is your main worry, this is the reason to choose Harmar.
The helical worm gear drive runs dry. No lubricant on the rail means nothing on your carpet, clothing, or hands.
The SL600 folds to 10.5 inches, the narrowest on the market. Both models ride quietly at 20 feet per minute.
In our experience Harmar lifts stay trouble-free for riders under about 225 lb. Above that we have seen more wear and more service calls, so we recommend the Savaria K2 instead of leaning on Harmar's paper ratings.

For heavier riders we steer people to the Savaria K2, which in our experience holds up better at higher loads even though Harmar publishes higher ratings on paper. We will tell you which one fits at the consultation.
It folds automatically as the chair travels, with no motor, switch, or circuit board. When the lift goes up, the bottom section of rail lifts out of the doorway on its own. It is the simplest folding rail in the industry and one of the reasons we still carry Harmar.
No. The Pinnacle uses a helical worm gear that runs without grease or lubrication, so there is nothing to smear on carpet or clothing.
Harmar rates the Pinnacle for up to 60 trips on battery during an outage, as long as the lift was plugged in and charged beforehand.
Harmar covers the gear rack for 10 years and parts for 2 years on the SL300 (3 years on the SL600). We add a 1 year service warranty on labor for every lift we install.
